Jazz & the City has been organized by Altstadt Salzburg Marketing GmbH since its foundation in 2000. After the death of Gerhard Eder, the artistic director for many years, in 2015, I was entrusted at the beginning of 2016 with the task of succeeding him as artistic director and positioning the festival even more strongly both nationally and internationally. The aim is not only to curate an exciting contemporary music festival, but also to anchor the city of Salzburg in the present with Jazz & The City and to develop visions for the future.

In addition to designing an exciting programme, I am also responsible for multifaceted stakeholder management consisting of partners from economy, politics and culture.
